The short version: We’re a content brand, not a data company. We collect the minimum information needed to run this site and we don’t sell it, share it, or do anything shady with it.
Who we are
Hammer, Ash & Chrome is an independent content brand run by Kevin Rippeto (Dueldor) out of Colorado. Our website is hammerashandchrome.com.
What information we collect
If you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you put in the message field. That information goes directly to us and nowhere else.
If you leave a comment (if comments are ever enabled), WordPress collects your name, email, and IP address as part of its standard spam filtering.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data when you visit — things like your browser type, the pages you visited, and your IP address. We don’t actively monitor this beyond basic site maintenance.
Cookies
This site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. WordPress sets a few by default for site functionality. If you leave a comment, cookies may also store your name and email to save you from typing them again.
We don’t run advertising and we don’t use tracking cookies to follow you around the internet.
Embedded content
Pages on this site include embedded YouTube videos. When you interact with embedded YouTube content, YouTube may collect data about you according to their own privacy policy. We don’t control that and we don’t receive it.
Who we share your data with
Nobody. We don’t sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only exception would be if we were legally required to by law enforcement — and even then, only what’s required.
How long we keep your data
Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your message. We don’t maintain a mailing list and we won’t email you unless you contacted us first.
Your rights
If you’ve contacted us through the form and want your information removed, just send us a message saying so and we’ll delete it. Simple as that.

HAC Inventory App (Android & Windows)
This section applies specifically to the HAC Inventory Management application (“the App”), available for Android and Windows.
Data Storage
The App stores all inventory, materials, products, sales, and profile data locally on your device using a local SQLite database. We do not store your inventory data on any remote server or cloud service.
Local Network Sync
If you choose to sync data between your own devices (e.g., phone and PC), the App does so directly over your local network (LAN) using device discovery (mDNS). This data transfer occurs only between your own devices and is never routed through or stored on external servers.
License Verification
If you purchase a paid license, the App communicates with our license server (via WooCommerce) solely to validate and activate your license key, and to enforce the device limit associated with that key. This communication includes your license key and basic device identifiers necessary for activation — no inventory, sales, or personal business data is transmitted.
CSV Export
If you use the CSV export feature, files are saved locally to a folder you choose on your own device. We do not have access to these files.
No Advertising or Analytics Tracking
The App does not contain third-party advertising SDKs and does not track usage analytics or behavioral data.
Data You Control
Since all data is stored locally, you control deletion at any time by removing the App or its data from your device(s). Uninstalling the App removes the local database.
